SC slams lower court for conducting trial through WhatsApp

Former Jharkhand minister Yogendra Sao and his wife Nirmala Devi, accused of a rioting case in 2016, have said that last year the judge conducted the trials against them through a WhatsApp call, despite their protest. The Supreme Court has slammed the Jharkhand court and said that this cant be allowed. The bench said, violating a rule is a different case but using a video conference to deliver judgment is unacceptable.
