Shivsena slams Javed Akhtar for comparing RSS to Taliban

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shivsena slammed lyricist Javed Akhtar for comparing Shivsena and Vishva Hindu Parishad with the Taliban. "It is erroneous to compare the RSS with the Taliban. India is tremendously tolerant in every way,” a Sena editorial in Saamana said. Sena said that some people are comparing anyone with the Taliban these days. Sena said Akhtar's remarks were disrespectful to Hindu culture.
