In a major reshuffle in the powerful cabinet committees, Union ministers Smriti Irani, Bhupender Yadav and Sarbananda Sonowal have been included in the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs. The committee is headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Similarly, Virendra Kumar, Kiren Rijiju and Anurag Singh Thakur have been included in the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs headed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
