Sovereignty is non-negotiable: Australia responds strongly to China's warning over Xinjiang issue

After Australia raised concerns over the grave issue of human rights violations in Xinjiang, China warned Canberra against imposing sanctions on officials like other nations while adding that Beijing will “respond in kind”. Responding to the warning by China, Australia's Trade Minister Dan Tehan said the country's sovereignty is non-negotiable. Several nations including Britain and the US have sanctioned Chinese officials.
