The Crypto AG scandal has shaken Switzerland to the core. For decades, US and German intelligence with the help of this Swiss company's encoding devices spied on other countries. Since the Cold War in the 2000s, Crypto AG is selling the devices to more than 120 governments. The machines although encrypted have helped the CIA and Germany's BND to rig the devices to crack the codes and intercept messages worldwide.
