Pramod Sawant, the BJP youth leader has sworn-in as the 11th Chief Minister of Goa. Sawant, much like his mentor and predecessor late Manohar Parrikar, he never served as a minister in the state cabinet. Sawant has been elected in the state assembly from Sanquelim assembly constituency twice in 2012 and 2017. He is Bhartiya Janta Party's one of the younger leaders who were close to late CM Manohar Parrikar.
