Taking cue from Swine Flu, developed intelligent testing strategy against COVID-19: ICMR

The apex body ICMR said taking cue form swine flu outbreak, it has developed an intelligent testing strategy to the rising need for testing and scaled up its readiness to fight the coronavirus pandemic. India currently has 610 labs which are currently testing 1.1 lakh samples ever day. The testing capacity has been expanded to 1.4 lakh samples per day. It also said that no state has a backlog of samples for testing.
