As US and UK announced a historic step to help Australia raise a nuclear submarine fleet, China was clearly left impressed. The step by US and UK is aimed at countering China's rising expansionism. "They should shake off their cold war mentality and ideological prejudice," the Chinese embassy in Washington said after the announcement. The Australian PM said the submarines would be built in Adelaide.
