‘This is clearly a publicity interest litigation’: Delhi HC dismisses plea seeking to stop use of EVM

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition that sought a direction to stop the use of EVM and proposed the use of ballot paper in any forthcoming elections. A Division Bench of Delhi High Court Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh while passing the order observed that nothing concrete has been argued by the petitioner, no research has been done. Court also imposed a cost of Rs 10,000 on the petitioner.
