Thousands of Cubans came to the streets earlier this month, chanting "Freedom," "Down with the dictatorship," and "We're starving" in the largest demonstrations since Fidel Castro's 1959 revolution. For marching without face masks, hundreds of people were detained, with many facing accusations of contempt, public disturbance, vandalism, and propagation of the coronavirus epidemic. Around 60 Cubans were charged for taking part.
