Track-laying work for a railway line close to Arunachal Pradesh completed by China

Amid the ongoing standoff between India and China along the Line of Actual Control, China has completed the track-laying work for a railway line linking the cities of Lhasa and Nyingchi in Tibet, close to the Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh. Chinese President Xi Jinping thinks the rail line is critical for stability in the border areas. The Sichuan-Tibet Railway is the second railway line into the Tibet autonomous region.
