In a first under the Joe Biden administration, US and Chinese officials fired fresh salvos at each other during the talks in Alaska. Top Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi warned of "firm actions" against "US interference" and said, "what we need to do is to abandon the Cold War mentality, and the zero sum game approach."
