US committed to defending Taiwan against China, says Biden

US President Joe Biden reaffirmed Washington's commitment to defend Taiwan against Chinese aggression. The US President said this in a CNN Townhall. Biden was asked whether US will intervene if Taiwan is attacked by China to which he responded- "Yes. We have a commitment to that." The statement comes weeks after Chinese premier Xi Jinping said in a statement that the annexation of Taiwan by Beijing must happen.
