US Justice Department to review cases related to targeted hate crimes

Amid the increasing cases of violence against Asian-Americans in the United States, Attorney General Merrick Garland has said that the Justice Department will internally look into cases of targeted hate crimes during a month-long internal review. The internal view will include the assessment of how the agency can track and prosecute people involved in hate crimes based on race and gender, Garland said.
