Days after the coup in Myanmar by the military, US President Joe Biden has ordered new sanctions against the military regime. Biden issued an executive order, preventing the military generals in Myanmar from accessing $1 billion in assets in the United States. "The military must relinquish power it seized and demonstrate respect for the will of the people of Burma," Biden added while warning of additional measures.
