Newly-appointed Uttarakhand Chief Minister, who invited controversy after his comment over women wearing ripped jeans, refuses to change his stance on the topic. Mr. Rawat reportedly said that while he has no problem with people wearing jeans, he still chooses to object to those wearing ripped jeans as it paves "the way for societal breakdown." Meanwhile, his wife Rashmi Tyagi said his statement was “blown out of context”.
