Palau is a country of just 21,000 people but that doesn't stop its president Surangel Whipps from supporting Taiwan amid the risk of its invasion by China. "If we were the last man standing we should be because Taiwan has been with us from the beginning," President Whipps said. He recalled how Chinese officials asked him to stop recognising Taiwan in almost an authoritative tone. Whipps says he won't be bullied by China.
