United States President Donald Trump said his department was looking "very strongly" at the ongoing clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. “We are looking at it very strongly. We have a lot of good relationships in that area, we will see if we can stop it,” Trump told reporters. The US State Department also advised against the involvement of any external party in the dispute.
