The Supreme Court reacted to the violence and the clash between the protestors in Jamia Millia Islamia and the Delhi Police, following the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The top court agreed to hear on Tuesday a batch of petitions on the condition that all rioting must stop. Chief Justice S A Bobde said the riots must stop after advocate Indira Jaising claimed students across universities were attacked by the police.
