"Will not interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs": China assures Taliban

The Chinese government is leaving no stone unturned in establishing ties with the Taliban and it has assured the insurgent group that Beijing won't interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan. Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan Wang Yu said Beijing "supports the Afghan people to independently choose a development path that suits their national conditions." He added that China respects the sovereignty of Afghanistan.
