World Bank blames centre's withdrawal of finance request over dropping Amravati project

The World Bank had dropped the $300 million funding for Amravati development project and reasoned it as central government's withdrawal from the financing request. This led to a trigger in the blame game between the parties YSRC and TDP in AP. The World Bank is however, not in a position to comment on the internal consultations by the government. Sources say it took several complaints by farmers into consideration.
