China received a lot of flak from across the world after several countries got hit by coronavirus. China has long depended on having a labour-intensive economy, where some 20 crore migrant labourers are estimated to be working. Reports say nearly 13 crore labourers have been laid-off in China making it a crisis many times bigger than India. Thus, Xi Jinping could have engineered tension in Ladakh to divert the world's attention.
