Nearly 10,000 of 80,000 planned Tokyo 2020 Olympic volunteers have pulled out from the event due to Covid-19 fears. Even as demands for cancelling the event grow in the country, Tokyo 2020 chief Seiko Hashimoto has made it clear that the event can't be postponed further. The country is battling with the fourth wave of the pandemic. As per the polls, nearly 80% of citizens in the country oppose hosting the Games this year.
