Aleem Dar surpasses Steve Bucknor to feature in most Tests as umpire

Pakistan-based umpire created history on Thursday when he came out in Perth to officiate in a Test match between Australia and New Zealand. The 51-year-old official stood in his 129th Test match, surpassing the legendary Steve Bucknor in the list of umpires having officiated the most number of long-format games. Dar has now officiated in 129 games in 16 years compared to Bucknor’s 128 in 20 years.
