Indian archer Atanu Das defeated South Korea's Jinhyek Oh in men's individual 1/16 eliminations to reach 1/18 eliminations. Jinhyek, the 2012 champion, started with 8-9-9 and Das replied with 8-8-9. In the second set, Das came back strongly with three 9s. In the third set, both the archers shared the points. After five well-fought sets, the match went to the shoot-off where Atanu sealed the match with a brilliant 10.
