Bapu Nadkarni passed away at the age of 86 following old-age related illness. He efficiently played 41 test matches for India as an all-rounder. Out of these, he scored 1414 runs and grabbed 88 wickets with 6 for 43 as his best bowling figures. He was well known for his signature parsimonious left-arm spin bowling. Legends Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar also offered their deepest condolences for the sad demise of Nadkarni.
