Venezuela and Peru kicked off the Copa America with a tensed 0-0 draw in a game which saw two Peru goals disallowed after consultation with the VAR. Christofer Gonzales’s 11th-minute goal was first chalked off for offside earlier in the move and then Jefferson Farfan handed the same fate 19 minutes after the break as his header hit the net. Peru will now face Bolivia on Tuesday while Brazil will take on Venezuela.
