Dalilah Muhammad, first American woman to win Olympic gold at 2016 Rio de Janeiro games, broke one of the longest-standing records in women’s athletics with a terrific run to win the 400m hurdles at the US Championships. The 29-year-old ended the race clacking 52.20sec at a rain-soaked Drake Stadium. She broke the 16-year-old previous world record of 52.34sec created by Russian champion Yuliya Pechonkina in 2003.
