Eoin Morgan became the first English batsman to complete 2000 runs in the T20I when he took the field in the fifth T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park. In the 86 T20Is, Morgan has scored 2002 runs with an average of 29.88 and 11 half-centuries. He has also become the seventh batsman to score 2000 runs in the T20Is. Meanwhile, England beat New Zealand in the final match of the T20I series to win the series 3-2.
