The Indian football team has a tough challenge in Oman in their FIFA WC qualifying clash. Muhsen Al Ghassani scored in the 33rd minute for the home team to dash India's hopes. Oman had beaten India 2-1 in Guwahati earlier and India also played out a disappointing draw with lower-ranked Afghanistan. With this defeat, India now stands at three points from the five games and India's hope of making it to FIFA WC 2022 is also over.
