In what comes as an expected development, former opener Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the Indian cricket team's head coach. Gambhir replaces legend Rahul Dravid, whose tenure has come to an end. Under the latter's tutelage, Team India went on to win the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
