South Africa have named former captain Graeme Smith as the acting director of cricket for 3 months ahead of the 4-match Test series against England starting later this month. Smith will be in charge until the 2020 IPL starts in March where he will take over a commentary position. The former skipper earlier withdrew his application for the role. It comes at a difficult time when CSA is battling misconduct allegations.
