Gyanendro Nigombam appointed as Hockey India President

Mohd Mushtaque Ahmed tendered his resignation as Hockey India President owing to personal commitments. Following Ahmed's resignation, Hockey India Executive Board appointed Gyanendro Nigombam as the officiating president. "Hockey India Executive Board held an emergent meeting today and named Manipur's Gyannendro Nigombam as the Officiating President of Hockey India," the national body said in its statement.
