I-League: Mohun Bagan beat East Bengal 2-1

Mohun Bagan cruised to a 2-1 victory against East Bengali in I-League’s Kolkata derby on Sunday. Joseba Beitia (18') had opened the scoring and Papa Babacar Diawara (65') doubled the lead for Bagan. However, Marcos De la Espada (71') gave East Bengal a little hope when he put one past Bagan but couldn’t turn the tables for East Bengal as Mohun Bagan consolidate their position atop the standings with 17 points.
