Star India paddler Achanta Sharath Kamal defeated Portugal's Tiago Apolonia to move to Round 3 of the men's singles event. Tiago was in top form in Game 1 and he won the round 11-2. However, Sharath made a stellar comeback in Game 2, winning it 11-8. The Indian paddler managed to take the lead forward and he took a 5-0 lead in Game 3. Tiago gave Sharath Kamal a tough fight but the Indian athlete managed to defeat him.
