India's Deepika Kumari reaches Women’s Individual Archery quarter-finals at Tokyo Olympics
India's ace archer Deepika Kumari put on display a well-fought performance in the Round of 16 contest in the Women’s Individual Archery to qualify for the quarter-finals at the Tokyo Olympics. Deepika defeated Russia's Ksenia Perova 6-5 in a fiercely fought game. The Indian archer nailed a perfect 10 in the shoot-off to seal the match. While Perova made comebacks on several occasions, it was Deepika who held her nerves till the end.
