Australia’s Steve Smith scored a stunning 92 resuming his innings having been forced to retire hurt after he was struck by a short ball from England’s Jofra Archer on the 4th day of the 2nd Ashes test. Smith was hit on the neck debutant Archer, who was bowling a deadly spell from the Pavilion End. With this innings, the right-handed Australian became the first player in Ashes history to hit seven consecutive fifties.
