Iranian women fans are now free to enter football stadiums after FIFA made it clear they will suspend the Islamic republic for its controversial male-only policy. Iran has stopped female spectators from football and other stadiums for almost 40 years. The new directive comes after a female fan called "Blue Girl" died after setting herself on fire fearing she would be jailed for dressing up as a boy to attend a match.
