Irfan Pathan became the first Indian player to sign for the players’ draft of the Caribbean Premier League 2019, starting from September 4. If bought by any franchise, Irfan will make history as no Indian player has ever played in an overseas T20 league before. However, doubts still remain if he will get the NOC from BCCI. Meanwhile, each CPL franchise has the option to retain or acquire a maximum of six players.
