Sri Lanka's Malinga became the highest wicket-taker in the T20 cricket; out beating Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi. Lasith Malinga achieved the feat in the team's 1st T20I match of the 3-match series against New Zealand. With Colin's wicket, Malinga brought his tally to 99 wickets, exceeding Afridi's total of 98 wickets. He dismissed Colin Munro to equal Afridi's record in the earlier match.
