Mary Kom thumps Nikhat Zareen to clinch Olympic qualifiers spot

India's star boxer Mary Kom has silenced both her opponent as well as her critics by defeating Nikhat Zareen by split decision 9-1 in the 51kg category at the boxing trials, in one of the most awaited boxing matches in the country. Mary Kom booked her spot in the Olympic qualifiers next year after her thumping victory over Nikhat. She will now fight for Tokyo 2020 spot in the Asia-Oceanic qualifiers from February 3-14, 2020.
