Mayank Agarwal created history as he became the second Indian opener and first in 30 years to survive the first session of a Test match in New Zealand. The last time Indian opener to see off the first session in New Zealand was Manoj Prabhakar in 1990. Mayank remained unbeaten at the time of lunch on Day 1 to break the 30-year-old wait. Prabhakar managed to achieve the feat in the second Test in Napier.
