Phil Simmons, who was controversially sacked as the head coach of West Indies after the 2016 World T20, has been re-appointed as the head coach of the West Indies Cricket team after 3 years. Simmons will remain at the top coach position for four years as per his contract with the board. He was removed from the position of Head Coach in September 2016 - 6 months after the Windies emerged victorious in the World T20 tournament.
