Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervened to help Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and one more athlete get better medical care and training in the US ahead of the Tokyo Olympics. The CM said he was told by Mirabai Chanu herself that she had received help from the Prime Minister's Office. "People of Manipur were overjoyed to know how PM Modi helped her," Mr. Singh said.
