Retired military officers approach SC to challenge Article 370

Since the Union govt abrogated Article 370 which saw the govt shutting down internet service, telephone, and television services to deter any protests against the revocation of special status, a group of retired military officers and bureaucrats have filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the Presidential order. The petitioners have sought quashing of the order as well as the J&K (Reorganisation) Act, 2019.
