At IPL 2019 campaign opener at the Wankhede Stadium, It was a Rishabh Pant show as his heroic innings guided Delhi Capitals post a massive 213/6 against Mumbai Indians. He blasted 78 runs off just 27 deliveries and scored fastest fifty against MI in just 19 balls surpassing Dhoni's record of 20 balls. This also Delhi's first season opener win since 2013 in IPL. MI lost the match by 37 runs.
