Robert Lewandowski, with his goal against Augsburg on the final day of Bundesliga 2020-21 season, broke Gerd Muller's record of most goals in a single season. The Bayern Munich striker netted his 41st goal in the league, surpassing the German great's tally of 40 strikes in the 1971/72 campaign.
