Robin Uthappa enjoyed a memorable debut playing his maiden first-class match for Kerala, as he slammed a fine hundred, with support from Ponnam Rahul (97). It helped Kerala end the first day at 276 for 3 against Delhi as the new Ranji Trophy season kicked off. Uthappa, who has endured a poor form during the last few seasons, scored 102 off 221 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes before being dismissed by Pradeep Sangwan.
