According to a statement released by the FIVB Disciplinary Panel Sub-Committee, Sanja Djurdjevic broke the sport's disciplinary regulations on June 1 while in a match against Thailand. Djurdjevic apologised for her behaviour in a post on her now-deactivated account. "I am fully aware of my errors, and I immediately apologised to the whole Thailand squad following the match. I didn't intend to offend anyone "she stated.
