Ever since Sarfaraz Ahmed was suspended for 4 matches by the ICC for his racial comments during the South Africa tour, speculations were rife the Pakistan Cricket Board doesn’t want him to captain the team in the upcoming World Cup and Shoaib Malik’s name resurfaced for the job. However, PCB has formally announced Sarfaraz as the captain for the mega event in England to put all the rumours to bed.
